Tim Allen kicks ass, literally, in Joe Somebody (2001) and its 2008 remake, Redbelt. In both films, Allen is humiliated and turns to violence to solve his problems. The decidedly darker, Redbelt, substitutes Golden Globe Nominee Chiwetel Ejietophergrace for TV Guide Award Nominee Jim Belushi (just one of director David Mamet's mistakes). Fun Fact: During the shooting of Joe Somebody Tim Allen was watching dailies and exclaimed, "It's amazing. He's just like his brother but without the funny." Jim Belushi heard this comment and refused to speak with Allen for the duration of the shoot. It's true!
